Goodbye DVD, Hello Blue Ray

Cable And Satellite TV

These days it might seem that everything is in HD and is quality high definition, but there is only one true way to watch anything in true 1080p high definition; it is with a Blu-ray player.

Broadcast television and movies and streamed television and movies from the Internet are only able to be shown in 1080i, which is not true high definition. If you want the clearest, most perfect picture you can see and the clearest and best sound, then you have to watch it on Blu-ray. Blu-ray is the only true high definition experience that you can have in your home and it is well worth the price of admission. The sound and picture quality is second to none and is as beautiful and clear as it possibly can.

Going from DVD to Blu-ray is the same as when you changed from VHS tapes and to DVD. Blu-ray is quickly becoming the popular choice for those that desire the highest quality for home entertainment. With the exception of PS3, it has sold more players, in the first two years, then DVDs did when they were first released.

The movies have outsold DVD as well. This is due to it’s amazing picture quality and crystal clear sound on a high definition television and with surround system. Blu-ray players have become very affordable and the movies are at the original price points that DVDs started out at.

Video rental stores have already started making Blu-rays available for purchase and rental. This makes it easier for people to watch the movies without having to buy every single one of them that they want to watch. When DVDs first released, it was very hard to find a store that would rent them and I think that because they were hard to find that way, it kept people from wanting to invest in the new technology. But with the Blu-ray, the manufactures and retail stores and rental stores know that they have a built in consumer base to move this technology ahead.
